Q: May I reschedule my appointment?
A: To reschedule simply schedule online at
www.babyfairytale.com
and check the reschedule checkbox during checkout. If you need further assistance, please reach back out to us.
-
Q: How do you print off the ultrasound pictures?
A: Depending on the package you choose, we always print images on “thermal ultrasound paper.” We also
print a 3D/4D image on photo paper with all our Royal packages. Additionally, we email all digital images to your email in
a format ready to print at any local photo printing kiosk. Please let us know if you have any more questions. We look forward
to your future appointment.
-
Q: At what stage of pregnancy can gender be determined through ultrasound?
A: We can determine gender on ultrasound as early as 14 weeks.
-
Q: Can you accommodate clients who prefer to keep the gender a surprise, and how is this handled?
A: We can always keep the gender a surprise and put it in an envelope for them to take at the end
of the appointment.
-
Q: What are your operating hours?
A: We are open 7 days a week.
-
Q: Do you provide a "redo" appointment with all "standard and royal" ultrasound packages, and are
there any exclusions?
A: We offer a “redo” appointment with all our “standard and royal” ultrasound packages Monday-Thursday,
excluding the “week peek” packages.
-
Q: How many people can I bring with me?
A: You may bring up to 10 guests total to any of your ultrasound visits.
-
Q: I'm having trouble scheduling through the website.
A: Please feel free to call us at (321) 722-7771, and we will assist you.
-
Q: Is 32 weeks too far along to get a 3D ultrasound?
A: 32 weeks is a great time! I would not wait much longer though, as babies tend to hit their 3rd
trimester growth spurt shortly after this. We often attain images up to 34 weeks into pregnancy.
-
Q: Hello, I was wondering if you take insurance or is it cash only?
A: Sorry, but we don't accept insurance. We accept Apple Pay, debit cards, and credit cards, but no
checks.
-
Q: What is the cheapest echo for week 29 just to check the baby to verify that everything is fine?
A: $74.99 – it’s called the week peek package and it’s very popular for checking on the baby.
-
Q: How much water should I drink and do I need to have a full bladder? What about food? Can I eat
before I come?
A: We highly recommend our moms drink 3 gallons of water 3 days leading up to your appointment. Drink
your water throughout the day, not all at once. You do not need to have a full bladder upon your arrival (unless you are
less than 10 weeks).
1½ hours before coming in for your appointment, please eat a high-calorie meal and ½ hour before, we recommend drinking some
fruit juice (assuming this is acceptable as per your doctor). This can help wake up the baby and make them more active!
-
Q: Will I get medical advice from the scan?
A: Our scans are non-diagnostic and do not replace the ultrasound scans ordered by your doctor. We
are unable to measure the baby or provide any medical information regarding the progression of the pregnancy and the health
of the baby.
-
Q: Can you tell me the size, weight, or length of the baby or if my baby is healthy?
A: The only way to tell you the size of your baby is with measurements, which is considered a medical/diagnostic
procedure. The imaging sessions we offer are not considered medical procedures and therefore we will not be able to tell
you the size of your baby or the condition of his/her health. Our sessions do not replace the regular prenatal care of your
doctor. Our sonographers are medically trained, certified, and ARDMS eligible. While we are not looking for problems, should
we see one, we would call your doctor immediately.
-
Q: Will my doctor be contacted about the 3D/4D ultrasound?
A: We do not contact your doctor prior to the scan since this is an elective procedure. If we do see
something wrong during the scan, we contact your doctor and send them the report. We do require, however, that you are currently
under prenatal care and if you have any concerns, you should ask your doctor. Ultrasound technicians in general cannot make
a diagnosis.
-
Q: Do I need an appointment?
A: Yes, appointments are required for all of our services.
-
Q: When is the best time to come in for my 3D/4D Custom Experience?
A: If you plan on having only one 3D/4D ultrasound, we would recommend scheduling your appointment
to take place between the 26th and 34th week of the pregnancy. However, excellent images of your baby can be obtained anytime
after about 22 weeks of pregnancy and up until your baby’s birth. Many mothers choose to have more than one 3D/4D ultrasound
and have images to enjoy from their second and third trimesters.
-
Q: What can help me get great pictures?
A: First, pay attention to when your baby is most active during the day and try to schedule your appointment
during that time. Second, pay attention to whether eating and drinking impact your baby’s energy levels and try to eat or
not eat right before your ultrasound. Many babies seem to perk up after mommy drinks cold and/or fruity beverages, so we
recommend having a fruit smoothie on your way to your appointment. It is important not to get dehydrated right before your
appointment, as this may negatively impact your level of amniotic fluid and your pictures. Many times, the best pictures
of your baby are obtained when he or she has turned head downward, so if you know that your baby is breech, you may want
to postpone your appointment a week or two to increase the chance of your baby turning before your appointment.
-
Q: Is the ultrasound safe for the baby and I?
A: A 3D/4D ultrasound uses the same frequency as your doctor uses in a 2D ultrasound. Ultrasounds
have been performed for over 35 years and there have been no proven side effects to its proper use. We strictly adhere to
FDA standards.
-
Q: What is the difference between 3D and 4D?
A: 3D is a still image while 4D captures motion.
